MEMO 2022 Arrival day

On the first day of the MEMO, the teams arrived one by one. The participants were welcomed at the hostel and spent the free afternoon on the activities of their choice.

Before the arrival of the participants, the guides were busy trying out the activities for the scavenger hunt of the next day. Starting from noon, the teams arrived individually at the train station where they were received by guides and led to the hostel.

After the check-in, the teams spent the free afternoon with activities of their choice ranging from swimming, getting a good view of the city from the nearby mountain Gurten to playing cards, pool or mini-football at the hostel. Of course there were also those participants who chose to study as preparation for the upcoming exams.

Vom 25. bis 31. August war der Mathematik-Nachwuchs Europas in Bern zu Gast. 60 Jugendliche aus Deutschland, Kroatien, Litauen, Österreich, Polen, Slowenien, Tschechien, Ungarn, der Slowakei und der Schweiz kämpften an der Mitteleuropäischen Mathematik-Olympiade (MEMO) um Medaillen.
